The Center is under the supervision of a Honduran advisory board, which is responsible for efficient and effective operation of the facility, taking into account their knowledge of the local conditions.

Iris Medina

My name is Iris Beatriz Medina Castro, and I am a single mother of two beautiful children. I completed my bachelor’s in social sciences at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán (UPNFM) in 2011. I worked as a high school teacher at the Liceo Jesús de Nazareth in Comayagua, Honduras in 2012. In 2014, I started working as a translator and assistant for The Filling Station, which is a Children’s Bible Ministry Community Center located in La Paz, Honduras that focused on providing free meals and Christian education to people from the community. In 2018, I started working as a K-12 teacher at Rock Valley Bilingual School in La Paz, Honduras. I was in charge of teaching the following classes: reading, spelling, anthropology, psychology, ethics, social studies, and literature. In 2019, I met Timothy and Julia Bishop, and I have loved working for Sirvientes de Cristo ever since. Currently, I am the administrator of El Centro Comunitario Divina Misericordia (Divine Mercy Community Center) where I happily serve my community.

Fr. Abel del Pilar Pérez

My name is Abel Perez Roche, and I was born on September 21, 1950, in Torres de Berrellen in the region of center Aragon in Spain. I entered religious life on February 10, 1968, and I took the habit on August 25, 1968. I did my perpetual oblates vows on November 13, 1969, and I began my canonical year on September 15, 1973. I did my studies on philosophy and theology in Zaragoza and bible studies in the center of Santo Tomas in Rome in Greek. Destined for central America in September 1981 and I became an ordinated priest on February 21, 1984, and an appointed novice master in 1987. Became priest of Florida of Opatoro in Honduras in 1991 then the Head of Pastoral Care of the Department of peace in 2000. Lastly, I became an Episcopal vicar for the penal centers of Honduras in 2004.

Franklin Otoniel Guevara Calix

Hello, I am Franklin Otoniel Guevara Calix, and I am 28 years old. I am currently married, and I have a four-year-old son. I got my degree as an agro-industrial engineer in the Centro Universitario Regional del Centro (CURC), and I am currently working at a vegetable agro-export company as head of maintenance. I met Father Abel in 2014 when he gracefully took me under his wing and funded my university studies. Since then, I have worked and participated in activities involving Sirventes de Cristo.

Danilo Cervantes

My name is Danilo Cervantes, and I am 38 years old. I was born in Comayagua City, Honduras, on August 27th, 1985. I graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras
(UNAH), School of Dentistry in 2013 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. I have my own private office, and I work part-time as a military dentist with the Honduran Air Force at the Soto Cano Air Base, located in the valley of Comayagua. I have been trained as a first aid responder, medical evacuation, and military tactical medicine and I have a large amount of experience as a manager of medical brigades. Currently, I am the delegate of the local Honduran College of Dental Surgeons (Honduran Dental Association), representing dental professionals from 3 different states (departments) of Honduras. These are, La Paz, Comayagua, and Intibucá.
I have been working/volunteering with Sirvientes de Cristo since 2013 as a member of the medical brigades. I am a very optimistic, proactive person with a good sense of humor and a strong working ethic. I am always passionate about my career and promoting good oral hygiene habits.
